Amdanom Ni/About Us

Pwy Ydym Ni/Who we are

The Cardiff Music Awards is a project designed to promote, recognise and celebrate music in the Welsh capital. Its aim is to reinforce how healthy the scene is by getting hundreds, if not thousands, of people involved in one major honour roll for Cardiff music.

The fourth Cardiff Music Awards will take place on 29th March 2019 at Tramshed Cardiff.

Launching in 2015, the first Cardiff Music Awards was a grassroots project with no funding that brought together multiple creators and promoters of music to be awarded their inaugural titles.

In its second year, the project expanded its horizons with more categories, a better nomination process and an awards ceremony that aimed to be a significant event in the local music calendar.

Now in its third year, the Cardiff Music Awards are fast becoming a seal of approval in the Cardiff scene.

Mae Gwobrau Cerddoriaeth Caerdydd yn brosiect a gynlluniwyd i hyrwyddo, cydnabod a dathlu cerddoriaeth ym mhrifddinas Cymru. Ei nod yw atgyfnerthu cyfoeth y sîn trwy gael cannoedd, os nad miloedd, o bobl i gymryd rhan mewn un digwyddiad mawr anrhydeddus i ddathlu Cerddoriaeth Caerdydd.

Bydd Gwobrau Cerddoriaeth Caerdydd yn cael eu cynnal am y pedwerydd tro ar 29 Mawrth 2019, a hynny yn Tramshed, Caerdydd.

Prosiect cymunedol heb unrhyw gyllid yn perthyn iddo oedd Gwobrau Cerddoriaeth Caerdydd pan gafodd ei lansio gyntaf yn 2015. Daeth â sawl crëwr a hyrwyddwr cerddoriaeth ynghyd, i’w gwobrwyo â’u teitlau cyntaf.

Yn ei ail flwyddyn, ehangodd y prosiect ei orwelion gyda rhagor o gategoriau, gwell proses enwebu, a seremoni wobrwyo a oedd â’r nod o fod yn ddigwyddiad sylweddol yn y calendr cerddoriaeth lleol.

A hwythau ’nawr yn eu trydedd flwyddyn, mae Gwobrau Cerddoriaeth Caerdydd yn prysur dyfu i fod yn sêl o gymeradwyaeth yn sîn Caerdydd.
